Brass solenoid valves are suited for what we call a general purpose applications, such as compressed brass solenoid valve for water air, mains water systems, vacuum, Argon, Helium, Oxygen, Nitrogen, process water, light oils, steam, diesel, petrol, final effluent, and basically any non aggressive non corrosive liquid or gas media and environment.
Brass solenoid valves are generally Brass body, their internal parts will be either Brass and or various grades of stainless steel, i.e. 430F armature, AISI302 for springs, AISI304 for the core tube and either Brass, 304 or 316 for any pressure support discs if used in conjunction with a sealing diaphragm.
Typically fitted with an NBR seals as standard with options for EPDM, FKM and sometimes PTFE.
Miniature Brass solenoid valves typically 0 to 10, 20, 50, 100 or 200 bar, Port sizes 1/8, 1/4,3/8 and 1/2" thread.
Zero rated brass solenoid valves typically 0 to 10 or 16 Bar, Port sizes 3/8, 1/2, 3/4,1,11/4, 11/2 and 2" thread.
Pilot operated brass solenoid valves typically 0.2/0.5 up to 10,50 or 200 bar, Port sizes 3/8, 1/2, 3/4, 1, 11/4, 11/2, 2, 21/2 and 3" thread or Flanged Dn10 to DN100.
Brass zero rated solenoid valves are designed to work with zero pressure differential i.e. with pressure zero rated material brass valve difference between inlet and outlet ports, suitable for most general purpose air, water, vacuum, light oil applications and most non aggressive non corrosive liquid or gas media and especially good with low pressure gravity fed systems, closed loop systems or just simply where pressure differences are unstable or unknown. Sometimes referred to as assisted lift or hung diaphragm solenoid valves the internal diaphragm is attached or hung from the valve armature assembly to assist in the opening or closing of the valve.
Brass pressure assisted solenoid valves are designed to work utilising the media system pressure brass valve differential i.e. the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet ports, suitable for many general purpose air, water or light oil applications and most non aggressive non corrosive liquid or gas media and are especially good with higher pressure systems and open to atmosphere systems such as water tank refilling systems where the outlet is open ended. Sometimes referred to as pilot operated valves or floating diaphragm valves where the diaphragm is not attached and simply floats according to the solenoid controlled pressure difference.
