Stainless steel solenoid valves are suited for what we call a general purpose and slightly aggressive valve material is stainless steel media applications, such as compressed air, mains water systems, vacuum, Argon, Helium, Oxygen, Nitrogen, process water, pure water, demineralised water, RO water, sodium hydroxide, light oils, steam, diesel, petrol, final effluent, aviation fuels and basically any non or slightly aggressive or corrosive liquid or gas media and environment.
Stainless Steel solenoid valves are generally either 303 or 316 stainless steel body, their internal parts typically being various grades of stainless steel, i.e. 430F armature, AISI302 for springs, AISI304 for the core tube and any pressure support discs if used in conjunction with a sealing diaphragm.
Typically fitted with an FKM seals as standard with options for EPDM, NBR, PTFE and sometimes Kalrez, Rulon or in special applications with metal to metal sealing.
Miniature Stainless steel solenoid valves typically 0 to 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 up to 500 bar, Port sizes 1/8, 1/4,3/8 and 1/2" thread.
Zero rated Stainless Steel solenoid valves typically 0 to 10 or 16 Bar, Port sizes 3/8, 1/2, 3/4,1,11/4, 11/2 and 2" thread.
Pilot operated Stainless Steel solenoid valves typically 0.2/0.5 up to 10,50, 100 or 200 bar, Port sizes 3/8, 1/2, 3/4, 1, 11/4, 11/2 and 2" thread or Flanged DN10 to DN500.
Stainless steel zero rated solenoid valves are designed to work with zero pressure differential i.e. with pressure zero rated stainless valvedifference between inlet and outlet ports, suitable for most general and slightly aggressive purposes such as air, water, vacuum, light oil, pure water, RO water, demin water applications and many slightly aggressive or slightly corrosive liquid or gas media and especially good with low pressure gravity fed systems, closed loop systems or just simply where pressure differences are unstable or unknown. Sometimes referred to as assisted lift or hung diaphragm solenoid valves the internal diaphragm is attached or hung from the valve armature assembly to assist in the opening or closing of the valve.
Stainless steel pressure assisted solenoid valves are designed to work utilising the media system pressure brass valvedifferential i.e. the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet ports, suitable for many general purpose and slightly aggressive media such as air, water or light oil applications and most non aggressive non corrosive liquid or gas media and are especially good with higher pressure systems and open to atmosphere systems such as water tank refilling systems where the outlet is open ended. Sometimes referred to as pilot operated valves or floating diaphragm valves where the diaphragm is not attached and simply floats according to the solenoid controlled pressure difference.
