Pressure Relief Valves
Pressure relief valves are designed to stay closed until the inlet or upstream pressure reaches the safety preset pressure, then the pressure relief safety valve will quickly open releasing the excess pressure downstream. When the upstream pressure returns back to the safe preset pressure the pressure release valve will slowly close to prevent back pressure spikes or pressure hammer effects. In this way the safety pressure relief valve automatically protects the upstream pipe process systems at all times. Each pressure relief valve can be chosen according to pressure range, size and material of construction to suit just about any media application with custom pressure ranges and valve sizes up to DN500.
